Nariño, Colombia
Nariño, Colombia is known for its rich volcanic soils.
-
Elevation and Temperature
Because of the unique positioning of Nariño at 1 degree north latitude from the equatorial line, and the mountain elevation of 3200 to 6000 ft, Nariño is ideal for producing coffee with richly developed sugars. The temperature stays mild for a long period of time during the day with maximum exposure to sunlight.
-
Equatorial Trade Winds
In addition to its unique positioning for maximum sunlight, Nariño's equatorial winds produce cold nightly temperatures to further enhance the quality of the coffee cherries and the sugars produced within each one.
-
Orchard Cultivation
Rows of coffee crops are lined with citrus trees and various herbs to produce the unique flavors found in each of the Harvest Soul Coffee beans.
